Métis Nationalism
The main purpose of the MNMS is to bring awareness of these issues to the Métis Nation citizens living in Saskatchewan, and to encourage our citizens to rally in support of protecting the integrity of the our Métis Nation citizenship criteria, culture and homeland. The main person behind this movement is Clément (Clem) Chartier who has spent decades in both protecting and promoting the right of self-determination of the Métis Nation, including its right to exist as a distinct Indigenous people with its own history, culture, language, heritage and geographic homeland in western Canada.
